Book Option - AHA requires that you have the book as pictured in the class description.  If you the have the one pictured then just bring it with you to class and choose the Bring My Own Book Discount.

Online Courses - If you purchase any of the classes that begin with "online" in the title you do not need to purchase anything afterward.  Your online access key is included on your receipt and directions for the online course are in your confirmation e-mail.  The online course date that you choose will be the date for your skills check, which will be performed at the Kansas CPR Training Center, 515 S. Kansas Ave. Suite D, Topeka, KS 66603. Online courses in which keycodes have been issued by Kansas CPR, Inc. are not refundable. Online course registrations will only be held in our system for 60 days from the date of registration.  After 60 days, the course shall be considered null and void. Re-registration and payment of the full price will be required.

Comprehensive CPR for Healthcare Providers

This course covers Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, including AED use, choking relief, and Bag-Valve Mask (BVM) techniques. It is suitable for both initial certifications and renewals.

The "Non-Physical" BLS Certification Option

This course is designed for healthcare providers who are physically unable to complete the hands-on portion of a standard BLS skills check. Instead of performing compressions, you will be tested on your ability to verbally direct a rescuer through every step of the process.

Verbal Skills Testing for Physical Accommodations

This session is specifically for healthcare providers who are physically unable to perform compressions and must instead verbally direct a rescuer through the CPR process.

Step 1: Application & Pre-Screening

This interview is the mandatory first step for anyone seeking to become an AHA CPR Instructor affiliated with the Kansas CPR, Inc. Training Center. Successful completion of this interview is required before you are permitted to enroll in the formal instructor course.

Required Documents & Readiness:

To be considered for instructor status, please bring the following to your interview:

  • Current AHA Provider Card: You must hold a valid provider card in the discipline you wish to teach (Heartsaver, BLS, ACLS, or PALS).

  • Professional Resume or Equivalent: If you do not have a formal resume, please bring a written summary of your background. This should include healthcare experience, previous coaching roles, military service, or any relevant community leadership.

  • Skills Readiness: Be prepared to demonstrate a flawless skills performance of CPR and AED use during the interview. As a future instructor, you must be able to model perfect technique for your students.

What to Expect:

Candidates will be evaluated on their communication skills, technical proficiency, and alignment with Kansas CPR, Inc. standards. This screening ensures that all instructor candidates possess the foundational knowledge and professionalism required by the American Heart Association.
